Windows 7 Programs opening slowly

So about a week ago my computer started to take 30+ seconds to open up programs, but only after I start up a big program that takes up resources. I have defraged the computer, uninstalled multiple programs, i still cant seem to figure it out.

Here are my system specifications:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120830-0333)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
8gb Ram
AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series

The first thing I would try is running Malwarebytes. Then check that your drivers are updated and not reporting any errors using Device Manager. With the hardware specs you have you shouldn't see any performance issue unless something is wrong.

It sounds like you have a Dell desktop. I have the same spec as yours. I got rid of the OEM win 7 and installed a pure win 7 downloaded from the internet. Now my desktop is snappier without the bloated software.
