i dont see any unusual process running in your system, just a plugin-container, which is for your fire fox and i dont know what it is.
also give me a snapshot of your startup programs
msconfig--> startup prog & services
Here are the startup programs. As for services do you need to see all services or only non MS Services? Let me know, thanks!
Start-up Programs:
Also Note: When i had a clean install, CPU Usage was dead at 0-1% on Idle, it suddenly shot up to 15-25 on idle without the installation of any major program. This probably suggests a Trojan hidden in one of the backup files i may have had (there was a good amount of backup, mostly documents, PDFs and Images). Please Advise.
you can disable these files from your start up, about the Skype you can pin it to your task bar and each time you need to communicate just click on it. you dont want it to start exactly after system startup
I disabled all that you have mentioned but the CPU usage is still 15-25%. I am about to run the kasepersky scan that you recommended but can only post results tomorrow as it will take the entire day to complete all HDDs.
In the meantime i've ran several other anti malware and trojan scans like Malware bytes, AVG, MS Security Essentials, Emsissoft etc and they show 2 types of viruses: 1) Win32.Sality.3 (B) and 2) Autorun.inf. Could you recommend ways to kill these? These programs cant somehow eradicate the aforementioned viruses for some reason, they ask me to reboot and when i do so and rescan they detect the same ones again. Thanks so MUCH!
rescue disks can detect and clean these viruses as it scans your computer wile they are not active.
im sure if you have any virus it would be detected with rescue disk,
but i should say that, the major defect of this scan could be if your windows dll files have infected, they would be deleted in this process, so before that ,Back up your information in drive C (windows drive)
In post #23 I see.
