Not only do you not need to defrag an SSD, doing so on a regular basis will shorten its life.
100% aggree with the first 2 post. SSD writes differerntly to a traditional Sata hdd. No need to run a defrag.
Hi there
Windows 7 (and Windows 8) automatically align the SSD when the OS is installed so you don't need to do ANYTHING to the SSD apart connect to the computer and just install the OS on it if you want it as your boot device.

Don't bank on w7 and w8 aligning themselves as I have just run AS SSD on both and they were not alligned. Not a problem as Mini Tool Partition Wizard (freeware) can check/realign partitions. Just make sure that your pc's power saving is turned off while making adjustments to storage drives. This program can also juggle partitions and has great versatility.
Don't defrag your SSD.......if your SSD came with some software, it may have a Drive Optimizer or something similar, and that is what you will use to keep it cleaned up. DON'T force Windows to defrag it.
