    Error: Shell32.dll (explorer.exe) Exception Code: c000041d


    Hey!

    Today's post will not be on additional problems to solve. Instead I just post here on whether the current problems need to be taken into action. Let's see...

    Legend:
    *** - problem needs attention


    Video hardware error... No errors (at all) since the last reload/ reformatting of mach till today :)
    Dunno whether next time may have this issue.. but anw... Solved.


    CSRBthFtpShellExt.dll (explorer.exe) ... Since the time I downloaded 'ShellExView' and disabled this ext. till now, no errors of this type were encountered.. pending- solved??

    Freezing
    issue... Since 17th October 2012 till today (13th Dec 12) no freeze or system hang occurred- still observing.. solved??

    Windows Desktop Gadgets, MSN Messenger, Windows Media Player & MS Outlook... No subsequent errors encountered or detected in Reliability Monitor so far

    SHELL32.dll (explorer.exe)***... Not yet tested if such incident has happened again. Will test out again, but think there is still a problem that needs to be fixed..

    Host Process for Win Services (svchost.exe) ... no subsequent errors detected.. will keep observing.

    Blue Screen (STOP errors) ... None detected so far...

    Btw.. my Windows Experience Index (WEI) is 5.0 basescore with Processor score: 6.7 Graphics (Aero): 5.0 Disk transfer rate (Hard Disk): 5.8 Gaming graphics: 5.9 & RAM:
    5.9 I have a friend whose WEI is 5.5. Mine was originally 5.1 before the last reload. The system also recorded a score of 4.9 when computer was new. Any tips to improve performance?? I have disabled unnecessary animations, disabled transparency (not the whole Aero), and reduced no. of startup programs/ in the system tray.

    Read on...Solved: Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) Problem: Shell32.dll


    Pleased to inform that I have not been encountering Windows Explorer crashes or shut downs - at least since after my last post in sevenforums. In fact I tried to check if the problem is occuring again by 1) clicking the 'Explorer' icon on the taskbar. 2) Open folder hierarchy- as for me it is set to open automatically by changing the settings. 3) Right click a folder (e.g. C:\Program Files) a context menu should come out. 4) Click: 'Open in new window'. 5) Click the contents of a folder.. if it is .wma, Media Player should open.

    I have done these and no error message or crash has appeared. Also have tried multiple times in several weeks.

    Windows Desktop Gadgets reported a problem when the desktop gadgets are launched shortly after startup. Here is the problem report:

    There is an occasional error with one of the utilities i downloaded with the custom desktop gadgets, mainly PCMeter from AddGadgets.com . Does anyone download these gadgets?

    Another minor error was when i previewed the contents of a powerpoint slideshow file in Explorer (e.g. the Preview pane). The error message (below) resulted in Powerpoint opening and closing with a blank document.
