Jimmy,
Max out the ram at 8gb like I did mine and things get snappier ! My HP had 4 in one slot so it was a $20.00 upgrade. Worst case with yours is swap both 2gb modules for 2 new 4gb or swap one 2gb for a 4gb for 6gb. Also note that Corsair and others have 1600mhz speed modules which will speed things along as well if their full 1600mhz clock speeds can be realized otherwise they get bumped back down to 1333mhz.

and i only have the windows 8 cd is i wanted to go 64bit lol dam
We have a W8 lappy in the house now and it's a total pain in the arse but it does scream......it's a i5 with 6gb ram and and massive 18" screen. I prefer my W7 still but also realize the W8 and it's style represent the future and we aren't going back so it's almost the sooner we get used to it and adapt the better. i've bought a cheap W8 pro upgrade but I'm in no hurry to install it until I have a touch screen monitor or the like.
Touch screen monitor not required or needed, Windows 8 works great without them
Once you're use to the small differences in the UI, you will like it.
I'm +99% of the time on the desktop anyway.
I'm still working my way through some of the quirks of W8. I like what I see but I hate how it feels so different. If I didn't have my rigs on W7 and only had the W8 to get deeper into it I'm sure many of the quirks would become benefits...maybe?
