I expect the CPU will score 7.8 if overclocked to around 4.2-4.3ghz, and yeah I think the ram should be a 7.9, I take it that it is all correctly set up in the bios? In my experience it only takes 1866mhz to score 7.9. Do you have 2x4GB sticks or 1x8GB stick? If it's 1x8GB then it will only be running single channel and that will explain the lower score.

Paul's spot on with his ideas, as usual. make sure your Dram frequency, timings and voltage is set correctly in bios. A little overclock of the CPU is good for a lot of things. But, still very good numbers, robbymcnob.

haven't done this for awhile and thought I'd update after getting a new Samsung 840pro ssd, seems it's getting along alright.Last edited by james cullen; 20 Jul 2013 at 19:21.

CPU @ 4100 MHz (stock 3500)
RAM @ 1866 MHz (stock 1600)
GPU @ 675 MHz core (stock 607)
