Yep I was just expecting the better or rather the more recent version of the drive would bring it up a tad but really I am not that stuck on what this reading is as long as the machine doesn't crash again

The highest score is 7.9 for any section, you will already have been scoring 7.9 for your old 830 therefore it would be impossible to improve on it.
The overall score for WEI goes by the lowest scoring components, in your case the gpu
