Makes you wonder what you need to do to the damn thing to get 7.9, Rotax1 (previous poster) got it to 7.8....damn, now that is a real stunning score.

7.8 Is the highest you can get for the CPU. There is no CPU on the market right now that can get 7.9.
This is a Windows 7 forum and he was talking about getting the top score, and in Windows 8, 7.9 is not that great a score anyway. But, you already knew that.
Still not bad Harrie,
Video cards are an easy upgrade,
Although then a ssd would be the next step
My main machine: Specs listed in System Spec.... 256 Toshiba SSD dual booting with 8.1. Plays music to the hifi, browsing, VM, photo editing and so on.
Anyone else noticed when they boot to 8.1 several programs do not start up in 7 and I have to run a registry back up to fix it?
Then my second machine Indianatone. This one displays weather gadgets, VM,email and can play music to my hifi I am saving for a 256Gb SSD for this one as I dual boot with 8.1. Not often but I can.
Next the third machine Shadow. I use this on for browsing, VM, chatting and playing casual games like Luxor, Bejeweled 3 etc. Even Luxor stresses my heart and gives me chest pain so I can't play it as often as I like.
Finally my forth machine. I use this one for editing audio files, ripping CD's and just fooling around with. It shares a monitor with Shadow and they all are controlled using Mouse without borders. This one is not used that often. This is overkill but being basically housebound I am looking at websites on several tabs on 2 or 3 machines at once and Winamp gives me a jukebox music player.
