For a SSD, it should be under 20sec. You may want to check your startup programs. You can disable all of them except the AV program (which very often is not even shown because AVs use a different mechanism).

Yea I have a light startup,
    a-v is mse
But I did go into Superantispyware settings and deselected startup with windows possibly that will help otherwise there's only three other startup items and I might uninstall adobe reader it somehow snuck in there :/
    Thanks :)
    Cheers.

Just double checked that on mine, and even with this beast of a machine my average boot time is between 22 and 25 seconds. You sure about generalizing an "under 20 second" boot time..? I imagine my case might be due to my Crucial M500 being rated with a lower speed than most others, but I'd say anything under 30 seconds for a cold boot is acceptable for an SSD, accounting for other hardware components.

The around 20 sec is my experience. If you are 22 or 25, you are in this realm. The under 20 sec is for a good configuration and would be my objective.

Makes sense.. I just wanted to double check what you meant, just to satisfy my own curiosity. :)
