Well I posted this a few weeks back and said the CPU number went down to 7.7 after I added the video card. So I checked the settings and I was not clocking the CPU at the previous 4.2 Ghz which it is completely stable at with no voltage adjustments whatsoever. So I am maxed out after all.

    Not bad for an AMD
Also probably the most partitions I've ever seen :)

6 hard drives. 2 OS on the SSD. Data, music, pictures and virtual machines, my documents and backups. I have another machine similar to this with almost the same set up. 1 256Gb SSD and 5 HD various sizes.
I also have the swap file on a dedicated partition for each OS.
Yes truthfully there is nothing wrong with AMD, I have mainly AMD systems but do have 2 Intel Core 2 Quads.

I am a big apple computer fan and was never really thrilled by windows...in fact vista was the reason I switched to apple. however needing a windows laptop for storm chasing...the radar programs don't run on os x I have to say I am quite impressed with this laptop
