I have SSD backed up on image file and I restored several times but still happens. I have tried cc cleaner, virus scans, malware scans but nothing works. Need help. Thanks in advance.

Run this program - it will show everything on SSD.

Move everything except programs and OS to another HDD.
If you see "Windows Old", that is what is probably taking up a lot of space.

    Post a screen shot.

Check the amount of space used for System Restore points.

Clean install never upgraded, no "Windows Old". Trying to figure out "TreeSize Personal" will work on SShot. Thanks

See pic - to upload screen shot - click "manage" - browse to where you saved it and click "upload."

BTW - when I did a clean install to my new SSD, there was Windows Old.

I finally got back about 20GB most of the deletion was SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION, using "Tree Size Personal" I bought a copy...it was about $25 bucks, worth it though.

I also found out that the "Windows XP App" that is not good in my opinion, was easily deleted with the Tree Size app. So far I think I might have a handle on Microsoft's bloating.

Thanks for your input & for the link TreeSize. BTW It has been at least 2 yrs since I loaded Win7 & I did not use a SSD originally, I used a mechanical HDD, I don't remember the Windows.old folder, you might be right.

I like to do a clean install of Windows from time to time........it probably wouldn't be a bad idea if it has been 2 years and you didn't start from a clean install.
