Maximum number of days to keep system hibernated under regular use
Hi,
I have been trying this. Using the system daily and 8 logons as an Admin and also as Guest. (So it makes 10 logons). The usage tends to vary from 10 min to 2 hours depending at each logons.
I could manage 10 days without restarting. Ofcourse during this period there were no critical Windows update. After 10 days the explorer tends to get disturbed/malfunctions. Trying to close the explorer thru Task manager or a self written batch does not work. I would be compelled to restart , during such times the logoff and shutdown seemed to hang and I would go for the HARD Switch off/on.
Theoretically such an event should not arise , EXPLORER seems to be the one that gets affected. In may case clicking on the folder tab in the systray , while the network discovery is on (I have posted a separate thread) seems to put it off. Any clues on this?
