Oh no that is it. No Greg, I am formatting it in Diskpart and it says 2 percent completed. And Vista is right, I didnīt add quick format.

Now, can I stop the process, and how?I just restart?

If it's the Format command and you're doing a full format it isn't that long unless its finding a bunch of bad sectors, which means the HD should be tested with maker's Diagnostics. But if it completes it might have found enough useable to be good to go - check the available space during install to be sure.

Or are you using the Clean or Clean All command? If Clean All then it takes about an hour per 320gb while Clean is instant.

No I did the CLEAN command and I just formatted the disk, added the quick command and now its done. Now I will proceed the install how you suggested it to be done. :)

I just finished installing Windows and had shutted it down. I restarted it and viola, it started just how it supposed to do!!
But I want to thank you guys for helping me, to Gregrocker and VistaKing. Without you all I could not have done it.

Although I am carefull not to jump in the air but I want to make sure if it Really will "Act" normal. Now Iam gonna install the drivers and will check here again.

If I am very sure it is good to go, then I will mark this as Solved:)

    Glad to hear it.

First do all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3). Then only import drivers still missing in Device Manager. Win7 is different than XP when handling drivers.

If you'll stick with the tools and methods given in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then you'll have a perfect install for as long as you do.

Ok, I was glad also but then AGAIN, it wouldn't boot. I had to reinstall it again in the end of the week as you guys had replied, everything went well, it restarted after the install and then I followed the instructions as what you said Greg, to first Automatically install updates. Ok, I let it to download the updates (105 updates) what took whole night. I couldn't waited that long so I literally felt asleep in frot of the laptop

In the morning I woke up and saw a black screen... I pressed any keys but no responds. I thought I wont go back to reinstall so I have searched to fix the boot and found this

MBR - Restore Windows 7 Master Boot Record

I did this TYPE: bootsect /nt60 SYS /mbr and press Enter
and it booted up. Then I had to install the LAN driver again. Now I restarted the laptop but couldn't wait till it restarts completely because I was a little late for work. So after work I will check if it restarted ok. I still dont trust it because I did in previous installs a boot fix, but not with what I did here but with the
    Bootrec.exe command.

    /FixMbr
    /FixBoot

Is there a difference between these two commands? I dont understand it but cant wait to be home to see what the outcome is.

All of those commands are automated in Win7 Startup Repair.

But if you wiped the HD there should be no problem with Win7 boot.

Where did you get the WIn7 installer? Start with the ISO burned to DVD using the tool in Steps 1 and 2 of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 .

If there is no problem before Updates are installed, then install the Updates in small groups starting with just the drivers, then Performance, then Security, then Optional. If one group causes the problem, System Restore before that group and reinstall the Updates singly or in even smaller groups to isolate the problem Update.

Are there any drivers missing in Device Manager? How is performance otherwise? Any laptop features missing? What is the make/model?

    Mmm...

I see, I think I know what the trouble might be here... the Realtek Wireless driver. Could it be?

I have installed it in the Windows update. Right after that the system became slow. I restarted it and yea, it cant boot. Restored and booted normal. Checked if the driver is gone in the Device Manager, its gone.

Now how can that be? Is the driver contained with virus? Isnīt it compatible? How do I have to install the Wireless driver? Please.
