    New user needs help with cbs log file


    I need help ran sfc/scannow and found a corrupt file dont know how to fix. Help would be appreciated.

    OPTION THREE in the tutorial below can help show you how to create a sfcdetails.txt file with only the results of the SFC scan in it.
    Afterwards, go ahead and upload your sfcdetails.txt file here, and I'll be happy to take a look at it to help. :)

    From you log, just about all of your sample videos, music, etc... files in the Public folders cannot be fixed. I wouldn't worry about these though.

    The _isdel.exe file that is part of Windows InstallShield cannot be repaired either.

    You can do a search for the _isdel.exe file on your C: (Windows) drive to find all of it's locations. Afterwards, use the tutorial below with your Windows 7 installation disk to a clean copy to replace it them with.

    thanks for the help i do not have an installation disk. windows 7 came preinstalled. also looking at the extract files information is very confusing to me. did the search no files were found for the isdel.exe

    It this file name instead. You just missed the underscore.

    _isdel.exe

    No worries, you can download a Windows 7 ISO for you edition at the link below to create an installation disk with.
