    Thanks for your recommendations: I will study the links carefully to make sure I understand the procedure 100%. In the meantime I have uninstalled the programs I do not need (crapware). Also I ran CCleaner and Malaware. My computer has not crashed, since I reinstalled the mouse software, but I am monitoring the situation closely.
