has anyone else noticed their external usb drives spinning down more often with windows 7? power management setting is set to high performance and to never turn off hard drives. i didnt see this issue under vista. having to wait those few seconds for the drive to spin back up when i access the drive frustrates me!!

Sometimes i have to wait a good 15 seconds before i can even open the recycle bin, don't even get me started on WMC (all of my films are stored on the external HDD)

Awesome! I was wondering if there was a cure. Just did a little digging and found out a lot of external HDDs are hardcoded to sleep after a set period regardless of what the OS says. So yeah, problematic but hopefully this app will help me. :)Hi b00st3d and welcome
