Windows 7 x64 taking 2:30 mins to boot (Soluto)

    Hello

So I have upgraded my PC (specs available under My System Specs) and have made a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit SP1 (Media Refresh edition)

However, as per Soluto, my system takes about 2:30 mins to boot completely. While booting, there is a black screen that shows up after the "Starting Windows" screen as well as after the "Welcome" screen that stays for about 15 secs (duration varies with each boot)

I have followed Soluto's advice and have delayed/ removed all the apps shown under Removable and Potentially Removable Apps, but that didn't seem to help much. My booting time is still at 2:30 secs

Attached is a screenshot of CrystalDisk.

Any suggestions to help make my PC boot faster would be great

    Many thanks!
    PB

    Hi,

In MSCONFIG, disable all services except those of Microsoft and your anti-virus/firewall. When you reboot, note the time taken (measure with Soluto if you wish).

What items are in your Startup tab in MSCONFIG?

    Regards,

    Hi Golden

    Thanks for your prompt response

Attached is a screenshot of the startup menu.

I am now going to disable all services except those of MS and my AV and report the result

    Thanks

    Hi Golden

Soluto now reports 1:41 secs to boot. However those black screens still appear and stay for a while

    Any further suggestions?

    Many thanks!

Can you turn off everything except Realtek and Avast in Startup, and try reboot again?

Does Soluto still produce the graph that shows where the most time is being used?

    Hi Golden

From where can I see the Soluto graph?

    Thanks

Soluto now reports 1:09 mins to boot.

However, the screen remains black even when the Soluto timer that shows up at the left bottom of the screen while booting is done recording the time and says "Take a look". After 5-7 secs after that the desktop appears

Can you upload the chart/list that Soluto produces? It shows the time for each item if I recall correctly.
