    Windows Experience Index not working

    Hello,

I was checking my Windows Experience Index and it doesn't seam to be working after making a system restore a couple of weeks ago - only noticed now....

I have followed the procedure in here SFC / SCANNOW Command - System File Checker with the sfc scannow command.

I attach the sfcdetails.txt as when I tried to put the full text in here said it was too long.

Besides this situation of the WEI not working the computer doesn't show any other significant problem although since the update to IE10 a couple of days ago, the iexplorer procedure does not completely close and i sot to have access to the items on the desktop and have to force the termination of the procedure to regain that access (I still can access the desktop items but only through the explorer).

I am using W7-Ultimate 64bit (you can check my profile for the full specs).

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

PS: I have run SFC several times already.

Show us a screen capture image of the Experience Index screen when you try and run it? What error messages do you get?

These are the images that I have:

    Before the WEI test starts

An this the image after the WEI test

During the test itself it does not show any error.

    Any ideas?

Have you experienced any BSOD recently?

I had the portuguese version of the FBI Moneypak Virus/ Malware a couple of weeks ago.

The system froze and had to perform a System Restore.

    The portuguese screen is this:

After that, I have installed the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, run a system check and it shown no problem.

Besides the "problem"/bug with IE10, I haven't had any other problems. The system is working fine, just noticed this situation concerning the WEI yesterday.

I would suggest making doubly sure your system is clean.

Scan from outside the Windows boot environment:
    Windows Defender Offline

OK, will do that during this night.

    Will report the findings.

I have done the scan you suggested and it found an Exploit: JAVA CVE-2013- 0431. It cleaned it.

I don't know if it was a relevant finding for this issue I had but it seems that the problem has been solved: the WEI is already shown. :)

    Thanks a lot.
