Extremely slow boot after upgrade to 16GB
HP DV7-7135US
Originally came with 8GB RAM - upgraded to 16GB with exact same timings as original RAM.
BIOS is up to the latest/greatest version.
Since upgrading boot time has been miserably slow. I've since done a complete reload of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and installed at the latest drivers from the HP website - boot times are still extremely long.
Original hard drive was a 750GB 5400RPM drive (not a hybrid, not SSD), switching over to a 1TB 5400RPM drive made no difference.
Virtual memory is set to allow Windows to manage.
By the way, booting into Ubuntu takes no more than 15 seconds.
Any suggestions? 3+ minutes to boot into Windows excessive to say the least!
