    Are you using a P2P or Torrant?
    Are you using Home Group.

    Are you using a P2P or Torrant?
    Are you using Home Group.
    Ive used Bittorrent in the past but not installed it since this install of windows.

    Dont think i have any other P2P program on here unless maybe Steam uses P2P to download game etc?

    But it wouldn't thinking about it.

    And no i dont use Home Group

    Happened again this time its staying and not going at all. CPU is staying over 90%

    PC has now been on for a while and this time i played no music at all and it seems to be fine now.

    I play music from WMP, iTunes, Youtube and Radio 1 iPlayer.

    However how does playing music have anything to do with the service that is causing me trouble :S

    Right-click on the svchost.exe ( with the issue ) inside the Task Manager and click Go to services . Tell me what service it Is .

    The scvhost is called Dcomlaunch but the behaviour is from PlugPlay, it shares the same, inside Services its called Plug and Play. Doesnt seem to be doing any harm while i dont play any music. Im going to turn music on now and see what happens

    Ok within 5 minutes of turning BBC iPlayer on it has started. How does that effect Plug and Play service that makes no sense to me

    Lets try this

    Click on -> Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback tab -> select “Speakers” -> “Properties” button -> Enhancements tab


    Also try updating the sound card driver .
