Does it hang while in the safe mode?
    Safe Mode

Try this scan while in the safe mode:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    And work thru this tutorial:

1-first you should Restart your computer into safe mode.please restart your computer and then press and hold F8 keys until you get Advanced Options menu screen.Use the arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, and then press Enter, your computer will boot automatically to safe mode.

2-Limit programs that run at Startup Limiting programs that run at startup might help you to fix your computer freeze problem
    -Click on the Start button
-Type msconfig into the text box then press Enter to locate msconfig You will be prompted system configuration page
-Switch to Startup tab and Remove the check from the box programs that you do not want to start up with the operating system
    -press Apply and OK button.
3- uninstall these programs that you don't want to need.

Hopefully you will get better performance.........
