    Hard Drive Advice

I was wondering if i could ask some advice on a few people on my future Hard Drive choices.

My PC is currently using 1TB WD Caviar Black @ 7200rpm

Works PC is running a Seagate Barracuda 500GB @ 7200rpm

And my bro's PC i built is same as mine but 500GB

Cant help but notice that mine is alot louder than the others put together.
Kind of annoying when i go to work and its just as fast but almost silent!

Ive looked at a HDD bench mark website and my WDC Black is pretty much on par with the Seagate.

So wondered if anybody could give me any kind of advice on choosing the next HDD in the future maybe in a few years or so.

Pretty vivid question im sorry but, if i could change my WDC Black for a Seagate atm i wouldnt hesitate.

    Lol Dude!

I know i would love one! But unless immensely rich, you cannot run your PC alone with a SSD.

HDD's will live on for a while so which to choose?

    Quick and silent.....

I think the WD 1 TB you have is good. Some people don't like WD and I hear Seagate HD's are good

I just bought a WD 500 gig velociraptor 10000 rpm and I love it. I have three WD hard drives and to be honest my case fans are too noisy to hear any hard drives. I am not sure what people hear when they talk about noisy HD activity. I know the velociraptor clicks a tad more then the two caviar blues.

I have had sea gates that failed and I have had WD that failed. I still like the WD over any other at this point. I read a lot of reviews as well with a bit of salt to.

SSD. Drives are not apples to apples at this point.

    Good day,

I bet its great, are they much noticeably faster than the WD Blacks? They are quite expensive for space too though.

I'm only using 1 HDD for speed and for space.

I guess there's not much choice if your only going to use 1 HDD.
