    looking for free utilities to check hard drives, ram, other system components. and something that is virus/spyware free.

    any suggestions?

    so do these programs show the specs and check for problems/errors?

    on the mac I have something called tech tool pro... it actually tests ram, hard drives, video cards, etc. wondered if their was a windows program that does the same thing?

I sometimes use it as a Ccleaner alternated, the free version that is, today the pro version is free at Giveaway of the Day - free licensed software daily. Today: Glary Utilities Pro I haven't used most of the features it has, mostly the registry cleaner and temp file cleaner.
