First query my friend is how old is the battery cos you know Lithium ion's deteriorate from the day they are manufactured even if not used.

Second what power settings are you using?

Hi there ... If you click on the Battery in the task bar you can adjust the screen brightness ..... Also click on more power options see what you can adjust there .... Having an Lenovo myself i know the battery does not last that long esp if you play a lot of games .... The more power you use the quicker it drains the battery.

One of the most important factors for the life of a Lithium Battery is the number of cells it has. Belarc advisor may tell you how many cells you have but I expect it will be 6! That being so you are doing quite well to get 2 hours out of it. One of the power hungry things you can do is play lots of DVD's. The drive takes a lot of juice!

Some good comments folks but we still don't know how old this battery is and age and charge states still determine how well a Lithium ion battery performs.

This is an excellent reference site .
