Seriously slow system...
Hey,
I have followed the tutorial for a clean install however my machine is unbelievably show and almost unusable. It's been installing Windows essentials for almost 40 minutes now and there seems a good 3 second delay between clicking and responding. The only driver I installed myself war the wifi one, the others have all been via windows update. My machine itself is pretty powerful and running on a i7 2nd generation quad core, 8gb ddr3 ram and a 1gb dedicated graphics card. Anyway of checking what is killing my system ? Cheers |

After double checking all updates an sfc/scannow wouldn't hurt. Also depending on your machine you may MAY need to go the oem for certain drivers.
Heres a tutorial for running the scan :SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker |
