It could be that, but probably because you have a clean install, or a little of both.

It is probably one of the main reasons.

Well, I restored from an image backup - didn't do a clean install. The Seagate drive is 6gb/sec, versus 3gb/sec for Hitachi. Guess that could account for the extra speed too. Anyhow, I'm pleasantly surprised by the performance.

Hi Boshko, long time, no see. How have you been? Sorry you're having problems with the laptop. I'm sure you have gone through some of the troubleshooting steps like chkdisk, maker's diagnostic program and msconfig. They didn't help?

Re-check your start ups in msconfig too, some new program may have something going on.

    Hello Steve,
Yes, long time ago since my last visit here. I' m fine, thanks. Dont have time for the forums...
I need to diagnose that slow start up (maybe tommorow). Before that I haved Team Viewer on start up. Also made change in sone services, and also checked disk using SpeedFan' s SMART option.(no errors found).
Britton, I'm also rhinking to try with Diagnosic or other start up modes that come with Windows....
Will try something, and will post sooner as I can.

    Boshko.
