Usable RAM question
Hi everyone,
I have 2 OS on my laptop - Win7 Home Premium 64-bit and Win7 Ultimate 32-bit. The 64-bit version shows 3.5 GB of usable RAM out of the installed 4, but the 32-bit - only 2.3 out of 4. Interestingly though, the Windows experience index is 3.5 for the 64-bit OS (lowest value is for the CPU speed), but for the 32-bit version, it is 4.6, where the CPU speed is actually 5.6. My question is, can it be that the 32-bit OS reserved some of the RAM to bring these numbers up? If my guess is incorrect, can someone please explain what can be the cause of this, and if there is any way to bring the usable memory amount up in the 32-bit version.
Any help is very much appreciated = )
