    File transfer is to slow


    hello I'm new here.

    So i have a problem with this one. Every time i copy a File from my computer to flash drive
    the transfer rate is to slow.

    my specs:
    OS:windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 32bit
    Intel Core Duo CPU E7500 @2.93GHz
    2gig of ram
    if anyone knows how to fix this Please Help me

    Hi xdoverated21 and welcome to Seven Forums.

    It does look a bit slow but usb flash drives can be very slow on writing. This is particularly true if you are writing a lot of small files. I suspect there is no fix.

    Unfortunately, Kado is right. In Win 7, there's no fix. To get fast file transfers from flash drives or DVD drives, I found it necessary to boot into Windows XP.

    Windows XP does nothing on USB writing/reading speed.

    I agree with Kado897. Even those new USB 3.0 flash drives have horrible small file transfer rates. The only way to increase it significantly is to buy a USB 3.0 external SSD drive, but they are extremely expensive. It wouldn't be worth it for your PC since it doesn't have USB 3.0 port.
