Windows search service will not start Win7x64

I am running Windows 7 home premium 64-bit, and the Windows Search Service in services.msc will not start.

I had to stop the service to fix a problem and I am unable to start it again. When I try to start it I get this error:
    Code:
Windows could not start the windows search service on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code -2147221164
I have restarted my computer several times, but nothing has changed.

For more information, review the System Event Log.
Did you look in the Event Log to see if there is more info available for the error?

I had to stop the service to fix a problem
What problem did you have, and how did you fix it?

For starters, you can run a System File Check to see if that helps:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

I'm wondering what problem you had that made you turn off Windows Search.
This below will help and is a starting place.

To answer both of your original questions, I stopped the windows search service to fix a configuration problem with Microsoft Office 2013. I have since uninstalled office 2013 and currently use office 2010.

I ran SFC and it told me that it found corrupted files but was unable to fix them. It logged everything in cbs.log

Did you run sfc /scannow at least 3 time booting after each one.

Having your system specs helps us help you.
