Startup Repair Infinite Loop

    Startup Repair Infinite Loop


    Im having problems and am stuck in the infinite loop on startup repair. I have followed the tutorial Startup Repair Infinite Loop Recovery
    i'm getting down to point 10
    10) Type DIR and press <ENTER>, and verify that the following files and folders exist in the config folder:
    • RegBack (which is a folder)
    • DEFAULT
    • SAM
    • SECURITY
    • SOFTWARE
    • SYSTEM

    and i cant see the RegBack (Folder) i carried on until point typed in
    CD RegBack and am getting

    The System cannot find the path Specified
    any help would be much appreicated!

    The problem can sometimes be with onboard WinRe so repairs need to be done from disk.

    Have you booted into the Win7 installer or Repair CD to confirm the Active partition is Sys Reserved (if you have it ) or C and then run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times ?

    If this fails return to the System Recovery Options to run System Restore working as far back as necessary.
