    Indexed Grayed Out


    My index is not working and the location is Grayed out. How to fix?

    Hello lkurrt,

    It looks like you have disabled the index. Double check using the tutorial below to make sure that the Windows Search service is enabled and set to be "Started" and "Automatic".

    Index - Enable or Disable

    Run the Search and Indexing Troubleshooter: Troubleshooting - Windows 7 Forums

    Next run a full scan with Malwarebytes.

    Then run SFC /SCANNOW Command.

    Turn off the Windows Search Service in Control Panel>Programs and Features>Windows Features - Turn On or Off. Reboot the PC and then turn it back on.

    Report back results.
