Strange lengthy bootup (startup) time for system that I have
Hello everyone! Hope you Guys and Gals can help me out here. :)
See my specs below under computer specs.
It's not like my start up takes 10 minutes or anything drastic, (More like 3.5 minutes) but I have a work computer with a Core 2 duo and 4GB Ram that launches 15 programs at startup (not joking, literally) and it boots way quicker then mine. (1 minute) -No SSD-
Looking at event viewer, I get the following errors under startup:
"Service 'WMPNetworkSvc' did not start correctly because CoCreateInstance(CLSID_UPnPDeviceFinder) encountered error '0x80004005'. Verify that the UPnPHost service is running and that the UPnPHost component of Windows is installed properly."
"The Client Virtualization Handler service depends on the Application Virtualization Client service which failed to start because of the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
"The Application Virtualization Client service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
"A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Application Virtualization Client service to connect."
I Checked the services it mentions, they are started correctly.
I have attached a screenshot of my msconfig start up tab proving there is not a whole lot there.
Too many start up services maybe? (See Screenshots)
I have looked at the following to troubleshoot:
1.) Ran sfc /scannow -No integrity violations. Ran it twice.
2.) Defragged the hard drive -No effect
3.) Checked for Malware with Avast and Malwarebytes, as well as Windows defender.
4.) Logged into safemode and did not experience the issue. So I am thinking It is something software related, I just do not know what....Hoping someone can suggest something to narrow it down.
5.) In my antivirus software, I tried using the option for start services only after system services has been started. -No change-
6.) Checked hard drive for errors with Check disk. Nothing.
7.) Checked Western Digital Hard Drive with their tool and it says the drive is good on both a short and long test.
8.) Made sure Drivers were up to date from Asus and AMD-I have the latest chipset driver.
9.) I set some services to Automatic delayed start to see if that would help, it did mildly.
I just am confused why this is happening. With the specs I have, this system should def. start faster then it is. I had a customer built PC before this and it loaded quicker then this one with way less hardware.
I do want to state that once my computer is up and done loading performance is kinda fine. Games and such run great. Like Tomb Raider works great at max settings. Sometimes loading windows explorer or firefox takes what feels like a second longer. But it might just be my impatience. I just have to wait till it thinks before I start doing stuff.
Bios is up to date. No other users just me on the system.
