Trying to move Users and ProgramData to a different drive

I'm trying to move Users and ProgramData to a different drive.

I searched the Net and tried this and that with no luck, whatsoever..

They suggest I move the folders to a different drive and create links on C (with mklink) pointing to the new locations, but I can't do it.

I can't move Users, for I am logged in as one. And I can't move ProgramData for Windows won't allow it.

Trully, I hope I'll get to like my new operating system at some point because we have started on the wrong foot. I can't do things I need to do. I have sweat quite a lot only to achive... nothing.

    thnx.. :)

That's for a fresh installation, though..

Any solution for a system installed already?

(In the meanwhile I did move user folders, one by one, and created linx to them..)

Eventually, I reinstalled Windows 7 following the suggested instructions (audit mode, xml etc.) and I managed to have these two folders in a different drive!

It is a bit of a fuss but very well explained.

    thanx!
