awesome, thanks
ok, so I screwed up and didn't turn off my auto updates yesterday and windows 10 installed. Will this change the process?
It won't be relevant any more - Windows 10 will have replaced the file anyhow.
If you revert back to Windows 7, then yes, the file will still need fixing
Can someone help me, uninstalled and blocked the set of updates as well as rebooted but sfc still wont fix issues

Here's the list of critical errors...
I have a nasty feeling that we'll end up being able to fix all but one of these files - or the problem may be worse than I think, and none are fixable.Code:2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b04 [SR] Repairing 4 components 2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b05 [SR] Beginning Verify and Repair transaction 2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b07 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:34{17}]"windeploy.exe.mui" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Component.Resources, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture = [l:10{5}]"en-US", VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b09 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:32{16}]"WinLGDep.dll.mui" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Component.Resources, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture = [l:10{5}]"en-US", VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b0b [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:26{13}]"audit.exe.mui" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Component.Resources, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture = [l:10{5}]"en-US", VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b0d [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:26{13}]"setup.exe.mui" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Component.Resources, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture = [l:10{5}]"en-US", VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b0f [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:32{16}]"W32UIRes.dll.mui" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Component.Resources, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture = [l:10{5}]"en-US", VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:17, Info CSI 00000b11 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:30{15}]"oobeldr.exe.mui" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Component.Resources, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture = [l:10{5}]"en-US", VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:18, Info CSI 00000b13 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"spwizimg.dll" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Navigation-Wizard-Framework, Version = 6.1.7601.17514, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:18, Info CSI 00000b15 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"W32UIRes.dll" of Microsoft-Windows-Setup-Component, Version = 6.1.7601.17514, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch 2015-10-21 05:35:18, Info CSI 00000b17 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:28{14}]"iassdo.dll.mui" of Microsoft-Windows-Networking-Internet_Authentication_Service_Iassdo.Resources, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_INTEL (0), Culture = [l:10{5}]"en-US", VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch
To have some idea, I really need the full set of data from this...
Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions
and post the requested data
If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)
Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file
I edited, none of the CBS things were under 8mb, nor could I get them there
I can see that you ran the CheckSUR/SURT tool - please post the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file
Hmmm - that doesn't appear to have completed properly - the Summary is missing from the end.
If that's the case, it would tend to indicate massive corruption of the COMPONENTS store.
I need to have a look at your COMPONENTS registry hive
Please copy the C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS file (no extension) to your desktop and then compress it - upload the compressed file to your favoured fileshare site (preferably Dropbox or OneDrive) and post a link.
