How Make Monitors Sleep When Inactive??

How do I make my monitors go to sleep after a period of inactivity?

They used to go to sleep, but I turned that off for a specific reason. Now I can't remember how I did it, and now I can't find where to restore the sleep functionality.

I used to use integrated graphics and now I have a video card, if that matters.

I got that to get the monitors to go to sleep, but after sleeping for several hours, they didn't wake up when I pressed some keys. I had to reboot the computer to wake them up.

When they were only asleep for about 30 minutes, though, they woke up promptly and easily with the press of a key.

Did you set just your monitor to go to sleep or the hard drive also?

May be just resetting things back to the default settings will help Power Plan - Restore Default Settings

Have a look at this, this may help NEW COMPUTER USING WINDOWS 7 WILL NOT WAKE UP FROM SLEEP MODE. I HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON.

It seems to be working properly again most of the time. One time after it had been asleep overnight, it didn't wake up immediately, but when I allowed it to take it's own course, it woke up after about 5-10 minutes. So the jury is still out, but it seems to be working OK.
