High CPU usage after using compressor to clean my PSU fan on my laptop

Hi all .. I have some problem that after I have cleaned my PSU fan with a compressor my laptop becoming crazy and when i am just opening my browser with only one tab my processor usage grow to about 67-90% and when i am opening another tab it is 100% ( when it loading the website ) .

i already tried the usual solution of checking malawares with MALAWAREBYTES 2013 the last version - and Avast antivirus 2013 in Regular mode and SAFE MODE and everything is ok with that.

would be glad to get some help :)

p.s - my laptop has an i3-2370M processor and 8GB of RAM .

Hard to see how cleaning the fan could cause high CPU usage, but that said there is one scenario that could have unknown consequences. If the fan is of a "normal" DC motor type then spinning the fan via the compressed air flow will cause it to act as a generator and force voltage back into the motor drive circuitry. Spin it the wrong way and the voltage is the wrong polarity too... not good. Could that corrupt anything ? Hard to say but it is a real issue. If you never had this problem before, ever, and now after a clean you do then that seems to much of a coincidence...

Beyond that I don't know. If you have tried normal windows housekeeping stuff and its no good then I would make a disc image of your system (so you can go back) and then do a factory reset/install and prove or other wise that the hardware is OK.

All things considered, it is NEVER a good idea to "clean" anything computer-related using a compressor. Compressed air from a can is as close as I might come to that, and I don't even recommend that unless you REALLY know what you're doing. Having said that, I have no idea what might cause CPU usage to increase dramatically after having used the compressor. I might suggest taking the laptop apart and checking to be sure that the processor and cooling elements are well seated on the motherboard. Using Task Manager, find out what process is using so much of the processor. That's always a clue as to why the change occurred.

ok . thanks anyway - but , i didn't open the laptop to clean it - i just did that from outside of the vent .
