    Hotfix for Outlook error 0x8004210b

    Hi folks,

I'm usually not so unobservant but I installed the wrong hotfix... I didn't even realize the hotfix I was downloading for for 2002 outlook and I have 2007. I've tried contacting microsoft and resorted to talking to the geek squad at best buy to no avail and I have had no luck google searching the topic. Well I installed the hotfix and now my outlook will not even open and I searching for some help in seeing if this can be undone without reinstalling microsoft office.

    Please help, Thank you!!

Nicoleleigh, Welcome to the windows 7 forum.

You might want to try to uninstall your office 2007 completely and then do a re-install to see if that solves your problem with outlook 2007. You might also want to save your existing .PST file so that you will have your old messages when you do a re-install. You of course have to find your .pst file by searching for it and then copying it to another place.

Or sometimes in the add/remove programs in control pane, you can do a repair of your office and see if that works.
it is under programs & features.
