Lets see if MBAR. Sees anything

    Download MBAR.exe <--- Download link

Unzip the contents to a folder on your Desktop.

Open the folder where the contents were unzipped and run mbar.exe by right-clicking and choose Run as administrator .

Follow the instructions in the wizard to update and allow the program to scan your computer for threats.

Once the scan as completed . Click on the Exit button and click on Yes that you're sure you want to exit . Locate the logs inside the MBAR folder and upload the logs . [ Don't click on Cleanup just yet ]

    Logs : system-log.txt and mbar-log.txt

I included it as part of a previous reply - not as an upload. And you remarked how nothing untoward was found.

MSE has finished its full scan and found nothing

And Internet Explorer is TOTALLY unusable, so I'd have to use Chrome to download Firefox so I can use FF to update the Chrome installer. Sigh...

Said that the version was outdated, so I downloaded the new version which is an exe file on my desktop. It automatically - no option to run as admin. It's scanning now.

Here's the logs. And once again, Internet Explorer, which is still the default browser, seems to operate just fine when taking me to the MBAR page via a link or update...It just doesn't work when I click on the blue 'e'..

Inside the MBAR folder you will see another folder called Plugins . Double click on Plugins in there you will see FixDamage.exe . Right click on FixDamage.exe select . PC should restart if it doesn't restart manually.

Closed Chrome and ran the Chrome Installer from newly installed Firefox (using FF now). Don't see that anything happened.
