RogueKiller report looks good to me. Delete the old FRST64.exe along with the FRST.txt and redownload a new copy below

Are these things all going to be fairly easy to reinstall? My friend already paid for McAfee, and although I know it's in many ways inferior to MSE, still it is something that he bought. Should it NOT be reinstalled? How about MP3 Rocket? Is it causing a problem on his PC? Is it easily reinstallable? Should it be reinstalled?

I have to give my friend reasons why these products are no longer on his PC.

Not knowing a ton about computers, I'm confused about the relationship between the Fixlist.txt and the FRST64 application. How does FRST64 know to do anything with the contents of the Fixlist.txt?

    Well.....
    • He has MSN set as his home page on IE10. When I open IE, MSN almost always displays. When I click on Favorites and select this forum, it almost always gives me a Page cannot be displayed msg, as it just did a few minutes ago

    • When I open IE10 without add-ons, I could easily get to this forum. But when I started to reply, the typing ceased partway through my first sentence and there was a small box at the bottom of the page that said sevenforums.com is not responding. My only option was to click on a box in that box that said Recover webpage. When I would click on that, my reply would be erased and I'd have to start over. This happened twice in IE10 without add-ons. So I gave up.

    • I then went to Chrome, which has Google as the homepage, and I clicked on the W7 forum item from the Bookmarks bar. Here I also got Webpage is not available. Clicking Reload did bring up the forum in Chrome, which is where this latest response originated.

I almost seems like these's nothing wrong with this computer, but that the problems are at the Windows 7 Forum end.

I'll try other webpages/searches in both IE and Chrome to see if I experience similar page loading problems.
