    Try resetting the homepage to default then change back to Google .

    Wow... the default page is MSN, which is what he wanted all along. I only changed it to Google in an effort to see if MSN was the culprit.

    Anyway, MSN now displays on the first click of the IE icon, and I can go to this forum on the first click of the Favorites.

    I think it's fixed.

    You may delete the FRST64.exe , FRST.txt and the FRST folder located in C:\ drive

    Is Google Chrome and IE working to your liking ?

    Yes. He never cared about Chrome - he's an IE man and only had Chrome as a backup browser. Now he's got Firefox as well. And IE10 seems to be problem free...
