    Installed new RAM

I upgraded RAM in my laptop from 4gb to 16gb . I have 1 gb video graphic card .
But my laptop seems slow still . When i see the pc usage i can see only about 2gb to 3.7 gb usage still from the windows task manager>performance tab .

Is there any way to make my pc faster ?

Can i increase shared graphic memory to at least make my games run on better configurations ?

What is overclocking and will it work on my laptop ?

I am using windows ultimate x64

Looks like all the available ram is cached, so it looks ok to me.

Considering your WEI score, I'd bet that your bottleneck is your HDD. That's the case with my machine. My score would be up in the 8's if I had a better hard drive. Consider moving to a SDD. You'll love it, and it will seem like the best thing you ever invested $$ into.

    Lol ... i get you ...
But when i went to buy rams , i got both together for around 500 aed which is arnd 120$ ...
but the 250 gb ssd was arnd 900aed ... damn !!! and i had just bought a 1tb sata hd for 300aed ...
guess next time i get some pocket money go get the ssd and get a case fr the sata and make it external ... lol

Also can i use a bit of ram for shared graphics memory ?

Odds are, Windows has already done that. In Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools click the link to View and Print Detailed Performance and System Information and look at the graphics section to find out more.

I concur with the suggestion to upgrade to SSD. Memory upgrade makes sense if you have less than 8 GB, but there's virtually no difference in performance between 8 GB and 16 GB, unless you are editing movies and large photos.
