    Broken CMD.exe, need download

For some reason my Command Prompt will not start and I need a download to replace the existing one. I decided to post a topic here because I trust this place.

    Can you do this scan...
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
    ...from the safe mode?

    If not, then maybe this:
SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

To add a little to UsernameIssues suggestion which could very much solve your problem.
Also make sure you are using cmd prompt as the administrator.

***Have you been using any 3rd party Tune Up or registry fix it programs?

You could also try if sfc /scannow doesn't fix your problem a Restore Point before your problem started.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, and yes I have used a third party Tune up program. I hated it and attempted to uninstall it. I am still cleaning up shit it put in the registry and all over my file system. I would do SFC /scannow command but I have lots of windows mods that I want to keep installed.

Well you have some choices to make.
If your computer can't run sfc /scannow then the next choice in my opinion would be Repair install

    Hi Jodie,

You can open an Elevated PowerShell session and use that as your Elevated Command Prompt.

Follow Option Two in the tutorial below.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
