PC very slow in shut down

    PC very slow in shut down


    After clicking shutdown button computer shut downs very slowly . After clicking SD button desktop icons disappear after some time taskbar disappears desktop wallpaper remains there for longer period of time after that windows displays message in a box " Task manager not responding force shutdown " . I have to force
    shutdown the windows

    Hello Shukla,

    Did you close all programs you had running before shutting down the computer?

    If you did, then you might see if using the tutorial below to troubleshoot with may be able to help ID the culprit.
    For now, you might see if using the shortcut below for a forced shut down may help until you find the culprit causing the slow shut down.

    I have no services running during startup except Microsoft services and my antivirus , i have disabled all of them long ago.

    btw thanks for force shut down button it is working nicely .:)

    That's good news. If the force shutdown is working, then that means you have something running when you are shutting down normally that is hanging the request to shut down, thus giving you that force to shut down message.

    Did you already check for your startup programs using the troubleshooter above?

    Are you able to shut down normally while in Safe Mode?

    Yes , i tried the troubleshooter and after reboot a service named " Remote Access Connection Manager " did't started as the
    result i could not connect to net because my modem did't star dial-up and have to reinstall the whole windows , because i tried to resole it and start it manually but it did't start .
