laptop issues - won't wake up?

There are a bunch of things listed

Level (a funky looking i in a circle) followed by the word information
Followed by Dates & Times
Source - Windows Error Reporting
Event ID 1001
Task Catagory None

Just looking at the information for the very 1st one under General
Fault bucket, type 0
Event Name: Blue Screen
Log Name: Application
Source: Windows Error Reports Logged - followed by today's date & time


There are a bunch of the same ones listed for awhile and then we come to a new one
This one is listed

the funky i - information
Today's date & time (earlier this evening)
Source: Load Perf
Event ID 1000

the description under General reads
Performance counters for the WmiAPRpl (WmiAPRpl) service were loaded successfully. the record data in the data section contains the new index values assigned to this service

there is also one for a source VSS and one for System Restore - but I didn't do a system restore. All I did was manage to get it to actually turn on

then there are many of them listed with the yellow triangle warning

a sample of them:
Volume shadow copy service denied access to root of volume

and there are many, many more

at this point, I don't know what I"m looking at
I'm ready to cry
and should I just throw the thing off the balcony?

I don't know what information is helpful, I don't understand any of it and yep, I'm ready to cry

This will be the shortest route to getting your issues resolved because the fact that it is crashing means a report has been generated that will reveal the exact cause.

I am so sorry but I am very confused. I don't speak tech..I don't understand....should I be doing instructions under which option?

Maybe I should just throw the laptop over the balcony and consider it a loss because right now I think I am too stupid to do any of this.

Just run the SF Diagnostic Tool - Using for Troubleshooting "Grab All" button. which will place a results file on your desktop.

Start a new thread in BSOD Help and Support forum here. Attach the results file in your post using the paper clip.

well, step 1 - the configuring windows to create dump files thoroughly confuses me
step 2 looks like something I might be able to do - downloading the diagnostic tool, that is - if I can get the laptop to start back up, again - which it won't do this morning.

I have to go to work this afternoon and I work retail so we are headed into the lovely holiday season, which means a lot of weird scheduling and stress.

Maybe I should just put this whole darn thing off until after the holidays?

Anyhow, just sitting here giving the laptop a chance to just sit with no power connected to her, no batter no cord and maybe, just maybe she will start back up again?

I am curious, if I do get it to start back up, would it be safe to leave it on until it either turns itself off or would it actually hurt it to attempt to leave it on for an extended period of time? And, if we did leave it on, should I be thinking of adjusting any screen saver settings or anything?

Your advice on that would be appreciated as I don't think I want to cause it more damage???

Oh, hubby just asked - ..would it be easier to just try and do a reinstall on the darn thing?

I just wrote out what to do in two simple steps. Nothing was mentioned about configuring Windows to create Dump file because if this is needed you'll be helped to do that in the BSOD Help and Support forum after they read the results.

Yes, you can always follow these same steps to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
which will result in a perfect install if you follow them closely. Ask back any questions.

ok, don't know if this is going to prove useful later on, but I'm going to record it down.
I shut down laptop last night, hubby decided to use it after I went to bed. It wouldn't start up correctly, did a system repair and went back to a previous point in time.
Anyhow, while I walked away here I opened up windows media player and started playing music to keep it running, LOL.
I've got chipmunks singing, LOL! Last nite, my music played fine.
I've also got a box that popped up - Java Auto updater - do you want to make changes yes or no
Haven't done anything with that box.
But, it did remind me that I think some of this strange stuff began happening after i did an online video interview for a job awhile back.
She had me use something called Oovu or something similar sounding to that.
Anyhow, I'm off to do the Blue screen thing for you.

See if there is a System Restore point before you installed the online video interview software, or the earliest one you have available to get back before the trouble started.

In case you haven't already, download, install, update and run a full scan with Malwarebytes
now.

Did you replace the bloatware AV with Microsoft Security Essentials yet, and run a full scan with it too?

Remember that the factory preinstalled Win7 on a laptop is one of the worst installs one can have, so if you're husband is willing to help and encourage you then I'd seriously consider doing the Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

it is downloading the tool now. When I run it, should I go ahead and close everything else, the windows media player, the java updater button and the internet?
