I tried that and it didn't make much difference, so I am trying the latest version of Opera and that is using up to 45% cpu

I have been keeping a close eye on Process Explorer and have noticed that not much what I do makes a difference with the lag, but we have another pc in a different room which is connected through the same router, when that one is being used at the same time for the internet then that's when the lag gets real bad, that is an old pc using XP.

Because the rest of the family use that one I can't keep it turned of lol, so any ideas on how to stop this?

    Thanks again

Ok, I have been working on this still can't figure it out, if I play a game with nothing running in the background, I still get lag. I tried Vista 64 and I have no lag at all, I like Vista and never had troubles with it but like Windows 7 that much more lol

this is only a recent problem, the only change I have made is buying the 2 Acer monitors.
Do not believe device manager - you may have a driver problem. to find out try using a different display driver, and maybe unplug that TV tuner and reboot.

I had this problem with FaceBook when I was playing a game called Happy Aquarium on it, every time I browse that game through any browser my E7300 C2D goes crazy, once I change to any other web page other than that game it all goes back to normal.

    Hope that helps.
