sometimes when it gives the couldn't fix message then you need to re run sfc/scannow, a rule of thumb is three times and reboot between runs, others would argue differently but it is the most recommended way on the forum

I looked back at the SFC page again, and reading it over, did a system restore. from my first SFC check no problems came up. I'll check a few more times to make sure, but for now it seems to have fixed it. Sorry for taking up your times.

WRP found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them Recently, some of the installs I run give me "The source file is corrupted" error, so i decided to run the sfc /scannow program.
