Yep, the command is correct. Be sure that you are doing it from within Windows in an elevated command prompt.
Go ahead and post a screenshot showing this error in the command prompt to see if it may help ID what the issue may be. :)
Did come across this thread, check out "cottonbal's" 2nd post. How do you fix corrupted files found by SFC /SCANNOW? - Windows 7 Help Forums
But the guy he's replying to is running Windows 7 professional 64bit and i'm running Windows7 home
premium 64bit sp1,would i have a problem if i followed "cottonbal's" instructions?

No. You shouldn't have any issues using that as well.
Did you move your user profile folder by chance?
Double check to verify if the "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS" folder and your "C:\Users\(user-name)\Desktop" folder exists.
Ok. The "C:\Users\(user-name)\Desktop" user folder not being there is what is causing the error in the command prompt.
You can do OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to restore the default location of your "C:\Users\(user-name)\Desktop" folder. Afterwards, you should be to run the command.
