Tell me what the purpose of this is?
Sometimes browsers get 'hijacked' with undesirable browser-object-helpers. System specs help us determine what type of help you may need for your set up :)
I noticed that the following windows item was installed about the time my problem started: Microsoft.NET Framework 4.51
What is this and what would happen if I uninstall?
Thanks Jacee and I might add before I leave it also gives us temps, devices (for finding drivers) etc
Anyway good luck Barnum! :)
Guys thanks for all your effort... has to a solution to this. Will keep poking around "in a safe way"
Let's see if DDS can point to something amiss...
Download DDS from one of these links:
DDS.com
DDS.pif
- Disable any script blocking protection (look to see if Norton may block this)
- Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
- When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
- Save both reports to your desktop.
Include the contents of both logs in your next post.
The scan will instruct you to post Attach.txt as an attachment.
