Golden I'm somewhat puzzled about OEM/SLP and the motherboard. Could you clear my head on this matter. No hurry; I'm just curious.

The laptop is a Gateway NV53, not only am I hesitant to crack the back plate open (never opened one other than RAM upgrade on my first laptop) but there are a few phillips head screws that are too deep for either of the screwdrivers I tried to get to..
I'll post a screenshot later in the day as I've been mucking with this laptop on and off since 2pm on Sunday.
This is for my brother's laptop, not my main machine. :)
Thank you for the information Glaice.
I got lost in the forest because of all the trees.
Post #12 by Devlin1888 would be helpful.
It will show exactly what hardware this computer has and monitors temp you can watch. It's a great program.Speccy - System Information - Free Download This will tell you the Temps on all of your hardware, download and install, monitor the temps and post back
My deepest apologies, it was in the late AM'S when i was replying lol, i was going by the system specs in your profile, my bad buddy, if you could get back to us with the speccy temps, Once the all configure that would be great, cheers
Speccy's last reported (peak?) temperature for the laptop was 83 C.
How about that screenshot from the resource monitor? Press > Search ResMon at the bar at the bottom> Right click run as administrator.
I am in process of getting some ResMon shots. :)
Will try and get one of the network page later.
Something also weird is showing, a Windows copy operation to something to ProgramData almost every time I load up the laptop.
