    intel i7 4930k at 1.2ghz?

Okay so i got a new cpu, which is the intel i7 4930k, and it is at 1.2ghz only, i went into the bios and it showed that it wasn't on energy saving mode or anything, it was on normal. I have an alienware case and i can't access the command center to see if it's on power saving because of the new motherboard.. anyone help?

Okay guys i ran a rating test on window home premium and it was horrible, i got a 3.6 rating on my intel i7 4930k, when i go to the task manager cpu usage is inconsistant, it goes for 9% to 40% in a blink of an eye, my ram is only clocked at 1066mhz when it's suppose to be at 2133mhz, what is going on? anyone has any idea?

P.S CPU-Z said my processor only has 1 core, WTF is going on

Some cpu's will lower the core speed if the computer is sitting idle, start up a game and monitor the speeds.

It is normally called Speedstep (EIST) in the bios. It is a power saving option which is useful as you don't really need to be running your CPU at full speed 100% of the time. However 1.2GHz sounds a bit low, from past experience it has always been 1.6GHz as the lowest speed.
